Union Grove Youth Football Organization (UGYFO) is a part of the South Eastern Youth Football Alliance (SEYFA) and ran by a Board of Directors. Typically, the board meets once per month. Please see the Contact Us page for current board members and contact information.


2019 Registration is $150 plus a $100 fundraiser deposit. Payment is taken at the time of online registration, with 2 payment plan options. Additional fees may apply for registrations after June 15th. Fundraising deposits can be recouped with raffle ticket sales.

General Dates

Online Registration is April 1st-June 15th Please note that team rosters fill fast, so early sign up is strongly encouraged.

To start the season, we will host a mandatory coaches & parent meeting, as well as an equipment fitting for the players. Specific dates to be announced soon.

Practices will start July 31st, beginning with 3 mandatory practices without pads for conditioning. Practice days & times will be determined based on field availability and coach scheduling. Typically, each team practices 4 days per week. Once school starts, they go down to 3 days per week.

On August 17th each team is required to participate in SEYFA's jamboree hosted by Stateline. This event includes scrimmage play and mandatory weigh ins.

Games are played on Saturday's starting on August 24th and runs through October 26th. Our league does October playoffs with a Super Bowl at the end of the season.

After the season has ended, we schedule equipment drop off and are tentatively considering an end of season banquet in November.


Helmets, pads, jersey and pants are included in registration. Players must provide their own cleats, mouth guards and cups to be able to play. Additionally, some players opt to purchase their own chin strap to use instead of the one provided with the helmet. Practice jerseys are also needed, usually these are prior season jerseys or you can purchase them at most sporting goods stores.

Equipment provide by UGYFO is checked out at the start of the season at designated equipment pickup times. This equipment fitting and check out is required for practice eligibility.

At the end of the season, each player keeps their personalized jersey, but must return the issued helmet, pads and pants. Any equipment that has been damaged or is not returned is the responsibility of the player to replace.

Fundraising & Volunteering

Each player pays a fundraising deposit at registration for our raffle fundraiser. You are able to recoup this cost by selling the raffle tickets issued to you at the parent meeting. We do a weekly raffle based on Friday Pick 3 results for various gift cards.

Calls for volunteers will be posted as needed. Parents are needed for half of each game to run the chains on the field. Additionally, for home games, we run a concession stand and have set up and clean up around the games.

At the start of each season, we open ordering for spirit wear through Ruma.
